Highly Pathenogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has been in found in Virginia. Though not reported in Virginia Beach, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services recommends "All poultry owners should take practical biosecurity measures to protect their birds from Avian Influenza."
