Tammy joined the Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) team in July of 2021. She is administrative support for the Virginia Beach Agriculture and Horticulture agents. Tammy is a Wisconsin native and grew up very actively involved in 4-H, FFA, and the Wisconsin Holstein Club. Growing up, she worked on her family’s dairy farm and competed at the county and state levels showing dairy cattle. Tammy has been an employee of the City of Virginia Beach since 2011 working previously at Parks and Recreation, and alongside law enforcement at the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia Beach Police Department. Before employment with the city, Tammy served in the US Navy which is what brought her to this area. She worked in the Hampton Roads area for many years as a realtor and enjoys meeting people and helping others.  In addition to her presence in the local community, she is actively involved in the canine community where she volunteers many hours to her group “Hampton Roads Doodles” which she organized in 2014.

Tammy is a great addition to the Agriculture Department and the Virginia Cooperative Extension.
